#94 Mobile Office Gives Soul Food To Lonely Sole Traders
I was on the school run today; Paddington to Bondi Beach by bus (as I have no car anymore - see my other experiment 'carless whisper'!) and back. I had a fair amount of work to do in between times. As I work for myself, all that was required was laptop and power. So rather than go home to do that, and in order to create an opportunity to meet and chat with local peeps, I brought laptop to nearby cafe: 'Brave - Soul Food and Organics' instead; Owner - Ben - welcomes people to do this and provides free wireless for this purpose! He also provides entertainment all day (ie. him), smooth tunes and yummy food and drink - and he lets you stay all day :) It was certainly much more fun than working at home - camaraderie is priceless. (Brave is at 68 Gould St, Bondi Beach.)

Nice one! I'll be doing similar when I uproot my mobile office and move to Vietnam for 12 months. Work will stay the same, but breakfast, lunch, dinner and the people I interact with will be different. :P
look fwd to hearing ur mobile office exploits! i might try local library next time, looks like they let u plug in there....
spent some time this morning working at tropicana cafe in darlinghurst; also a good place for this kinda thing - free wireless - etc etc and despite the fact that some say it's not what it was, i still love the slice of life atmosphere, i definitely get a sense of community there :)
Here's a map of all the places in Sydney you can find wireless internet hotspots!
