On Saturdays, the peace park in Chippendale has started collecting a small cluster of fruit and veg stands where people can buy local produce rather inexpensively. It's not an official saturday market per se, but provides a way that the community can not only get together on saturday mornings, but also support local farmers and "middle men" for less than it would cost at the big brand supermarkets.
