#48 Host a Street Party

Little Comber Street has been celebrating Christmas for a dozen years or more and every year we invite friends and family to join us. As always the turnout was great and i highly recommend other people make the effort to get to know the people in their street. Hosting a street party is a great way to do this and is very simple.

You can get council permission to close your street of usually or just start small and build up, soon enough people will pop over to see what all the fuss is about.

Little Comber St Christmas Street Party, Paddington, Sydney

We interviewed Laelie and a few of the Little Comber Street community to learn more about their street and what they do that is so different to the other streets in the neighbourhood.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Laelie (sorry bout the bad audio i was using my iphone!) at the street party and i can attest to the sense of belonging and joy that this small street enjoys. Its an inspiration to  see what a bit of effort and friendship can create. The world needs more Little Comber Streets!
