We know that there are heaps of good ideas out there waiting to be realised, but that getting these projects off the ground can often be difficult - especially when your project needs a lot of money to get it started.

That's why councils offer community grant funding - programs which allow community members to apply for funding for their projects to help get them from start to finish.

Leichhardt is running seven grants programs this year, ranging from environmental and community grants to seniors grants and community garden funding.
