#253 Giant Swap Party @ Taylor Square Saturday 19 March, 10.30am

Out with the old, in with the new!!  Everyone enjoys getting some new stuff – but increasingly we’re becoming aware of the environmental and financial impact of our throw-away culture.  The Giant Swap Party @ Taylor Square is a great way to help people gain some new stuff…without it costing the earth.

Ever been to a giant swap party?  Wondering how will it work?  It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

1. Bring: On Saturday 19 March, bring up to three easy to carry, good quality items that you no longer want to Taylor Square, between 10.30am – 11.30am.   (No electronic items accepted.)

2. Exchange: We’ll exchange each of your items for a token.  All items will be on display until 11.30am – so you can browse around and check out the goods!!

3. Swap: At 11.30am the swapping will begin.  You’ll be able to exchange each of your tokens for an item brought by someone else.

It’s fun, free and great for our environment.  By diverting items from landfill, and avoiding buying something new, you save water, resources and reduce emissions.

Great Prize: After registering your items to swap, just purchase anything at the Farmers Market over $5, and you’ll be in the running to win a fantastic Farmers Market hamper.

Our Giant Swap Party is made possible by a Matching Grant from the City of Sydney.
