#239 Redfern Rocks!
Looking for other Redfern (and surrounds) locals to share the good tales about Redfern and build a community.
I have lived in the Redfern area for a while now and simply love my suburb. Redfern is culturally rich, diverse and a sometime stigmatised community which has been my most accepting and friendly Sydney experience.
I'd like to start an experiment based on bringing people of the Redfern and surrounds together to embrace our community through social media. So I am looking for other people who have stories to share about life (present and past) in Redfern that shows the areas human, community, creative and loving side.
If you have a tale to tell, pls comment here and/or join the Facebook group, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Redfern-Rocks/170935712938436 or say hi on Twitter myredfernrocks
I have also started a community pilot with www.customerunderground.com in testing their mobile App with local businesses, so if you are iPhone enabled and want to participate, watch this space for details!
iPhone App BoomVox allows you to rate businesses and services anywhere with a participating QR code. Keep an eye out for the logo in Redfern!

Purchasing sustainable energy, however, may simply not be possible in some locations due to its limited availability. 6 out of the 50 states in the US do not offer green energy.
