I'm testing an electrically assisted bicycle for the first time over 3 months of Sydney city wide commuting and riding to meetings. Having looked at Chinese brands I've chosen a German made Panther  777 which is a higher quality bike with higher end components. So far after a week's use I'm cycling further faster and feeling different muscle groups responding. I'm amazed by how far I can go on one charge (45kms so far) and am enjoying the fact that it only kicks in when peddling up difficult hills or long stretches. No cruise mode!
