#218 Backyard Educators- Engagement Training

Backyard Educators is a group of locals who are keen to talk to their neighbours about sustainability issues and get gardening, composting and community action happening.

Sustainability facilitators Sarah and Sandi are running a workshop for anyone who wants to learn how to engage and inspire the people around them. See details below

Are you interested in engaging with your neighbours, friends and other networks to help grow composting and gardening in your local community?
This free course, part of the Compost Revolution, will give you skills, confidence and tools to facilitate and engage in composting conversations and also put you in touch with others who are doing the same in the community.
Upcoming workshop
Part 1- Saturday 23 October 9am-3pm
Part 2 -Saturday 20 November 9 am -3pm

The focus of the Backyard Educators course will be on communication, facilitation, understanding behaviours and group dynamics and how to engage and motivate others. You will have the opportunity to put your skills into practice at whatever level you feel comfortable, whether that's chatting to your neighbour over the fence or running a workshop.

Facilitated by local sustainability facilitators Sarah van Erp and Sandi Middleton

To RSVP for the workshop or get in touch with a backyard educator e-mail laurenm@waverley.nsw.gov.au or call 9369 8112
