#195 The Garage Sale Trail

According to the holy scriptures of the ABS, Australians generate 3.2 million tonnes of solid waste each year - that's a lot of junk to be putting in Mother Nature's trunk!

To in addition to giving the fine lady a hand by not buying lot's of new 'stuff', you can also be a bit clever about where you buy and offload things you don't need anymore.

Garage sales have been around for as long as we can remember, but for the first time the folks of Bondi are attempting a suburb-wide sale called the Garage Sale Trail, as part of the Bondi Sizzle Festival.

If you or your mates live in Bondi you can register to take part on the Bondi Sizzle site, www.sizzlefestival.com.au

For those who just like a good bargain, you can head along on May 9, a map with all of the garage sale locales will be released a few days prior to the event, so keep an eye on here: www.sizzlefestival.com.au/archives/564-garage-sale-trail-registrations-a...

There is also a bunch of cool art, surfing and music happening that weekend so get involved!

Also a great experiment for you to try in your 'burb!
