#120 Up Your Jumper! A sustainable study tour of Australia
G'day how's it going? I'm currently on a study tour of Australia, looking at projects relating to sustainable design and living, and renewable energy.
As it happens, most if not all of the projects I've looked at, have been local initiatives, happening on a local level, in communities around Australia. From community gardens, to bike share schemes, to mattress recyclers, to natives nurserys and beyond.
I've been interviewing people about each project, which have formed a series of podcasts.I've got about 20 interviews in the pipeline that will be posted once or twice a week, depending on how my editing goes :) These are posted on my blog,
www.upyourjumper.wordpress.com
So think of this blog as a snapshot for inspiration and information of what is happening on a local level around Australia. Similar to this site really.

Hey Tim, this sounds cool. Can you post the mattress one - that sounds interesting.
G'day, yeh it's been an interesting trip, that's for sure. The company that recycles mattresses is called Dream Safe, their website is,

I did an interview with Ian from their Nowra centre. That'll be up on the blog in a little bit.
Tim this is a fantastic addition to live local, thank you for sharing your podcasts with us!
G'day Dave, no worries, I rekon this could develop into a really interesting platform.
