live local nominated for AIMIA awards
The live local team is thrilled to announce that our website has been nominated as a finalist in the 16th AIMIA Awards in two categories; Best Non-profit or Government and Best Science, Health or Environment.
The AIMIA (Australian Interactive Media Industry Association) Awards are Australia’s longest running and most prestigious Interactive Media awards and it’s exciting that the live local foundation and the project team at Digital Eskimo have been recognised for their hard work on this low budget, not-for-profit project.
Special mention goes to co-founder of the live local foundation, Piers Dawson-Damer, who had the vision and courage to invest in the project. Congratulations also to the project team at Digital Eskimo; David Gravina (also a co-founder), John Macfarlane, Jeremy Epstein, Chris Gaul and everyone who contributed to making the live local site a reality. Last but definitely not least, a big thanks to the live local community; at the end of the day you are what it is all about.
Stay tuned, the winners of each category will be announced at the 16th Annual AIMIA Awards ceremony on Friday, 5 March 2010.
